The mind will become sharper, the body will become stronger and you will eventually want to exercise more!

2. Replace one meal with veggies and fruits

It doesn't matter how many meals you eat throughout the day, or what you eat. Simply replace one of those meals with veggies and fruits, and start taking it consistently every day. In the beginning, it might not seem very much, but as you continue, you will notice a desire to eat more natural foods.

3. Sleep

One of the most important reasons for an increase in weight is because people do not sleep as per their required amount. The body requires at least six to eight hours a day in order to recharge itself, and when it is unable to get that much, the mind goes in to panic mode, and begins to store fat throughout the body.

4. Stress

In the busy world of today, another major reason for an increase in weight is due to stress. The more stress a person takes, the more cortisol is generated in the body. The more cortisol is generated, the more their body becomes hormonally unbalanced. Ultimately, the body is unable to regulate the weight effectively, hence storing more and more.

5. Irregular snacking

Make a habit not to consume anything after 10 PM in the night. During the night, the body is gearing up for sleep. When you fall asleep just after eating, the brain doesn't start the metabolism. All bodily functions go in to 'power saving' mode, and only the subconscious part of the brain remains active. As a result, when the brain doesn't figure out a way to burn all of this food, it simply stores it as fat.

6. Keep a journal

One excellent way to lose weight is to track your progress. How far have you come? Take measurements of your body, as well as your weight and store them in a journal along with the dates and times, so that you can remain aware of the progress you are making!
