7 Body Weight Exercises to Burn Fat Without Cardio Exercise



Body weight exercise training is a cheap, fast, and effective way to burn fat without cardio exercise. You really don't need to go to a gym if you want to lose weight, burn belly fat, and get a flat stomach.

You know why? Because the truth is that diet is the most important part of fat loss, and as long as you have a good diet and you are eating fewer calories than you need, you'll be able to lose weight and burn belly fat with almost any program.

But in today's crazy economy, most folks don't have the money to join a gym or get a personal trainer or have a treadmill at home, so we have to find cheaper - and even FREE ways to burn belly fat.

So I want to give you this seven exercise bodyweight circuit that really targets the body for fat loss. We don't need any fancy equipment, and you can do this in the comfort of your own home, anytime of the day. You could also do it while traveling.

Below is an outline of the seven-exercise circuit:

1) Jumping Jacks
2) Y-squat
3) Spiderman Push-up
4) Reverse Lunge
5) Plank-to-Push-up
6) Prisoner Siff Squat
7) Cross Body Mountain Climber

For each of these exercises you will want to perform 8-12 repetitions and if you are really strong and fit, then you could even do as many at 15 repetitions. Go through the circuit with no rest between exercises. Once completing the circuit, rest for 1 minute and then repeat the circuit up to 3 times in total.

When performing the Y-squat be sure to spread your arms in the "Y" position and squeeze your shoulder blades together. That helps work the upper back without rowing equipment.

For the spiderman push-up, you will want to bring your knee up to you elbow and then back down, alternating sides. This is a tough exercise so if you are a beginner, just use regular pushups.

With the reverse lunge, you can either leave your arms at your side, or if you want to work your upper back, then you can place your hands behind your head in the prisoner position.

If you choose to do the prisoner reverse lunge, be sure to keep your elbows back and shoulder blades together, otherwise there is no benefit to doing the exercise this way. Its tough to work the upper back without equipment, so the more often you use the "prisoner" exercise style, the better.

For the prisoner siff squat, get on the balls of your feet, place your hands behind your head and perform a squat. This works your calves and quadriceps more than a regular bodyweight squat.

The last exercise is the cross body mountain climber. In this exercise, you will get into the push-up position, arms outstretched and bring your leg to your opposite elbow, making sure to keep your hips square to the ground.

So you can see how a lot of these exercises involve pushing, forward flexion of the abdominals, hip flexion, and quite a bit of work for the quadriceps. All of these exercises combine to give you a fun weight loss workout you can do in the comfort of your own home with NO equipment.
